Age UK's 'Spread the Warmth' Campaign helps older people keep warm and well in winter. (See link below to the dedicated Spread the Warmth site.

You can call the free-phone Green Camden Helpline on 0800 801 738 Mon- Fri 9am to 5pm. They can provide advice and support including; tips on how to save energy and lower bills, dealing with duel debt, switching fuel tariffs, preventing damp and mould and eligibility check for any grants or services available to help keep warm in the home. They can assess whether you are eligible for a free home energy advice visit and energy saving grants of up to £7,000 for measures such as boiler replacements or wall insulation.

  • During winter 24,000 older people could die from the cold - that’s 200 deaths a day that could be prevented.
